Digital signage projects typically involve the installation of individual screens in either a landscape or portrait orientation. While this type of deployment suits most digital signage applications, some venues may benefit from a less traditional approach.
By grouping several flat panel screens together you increase the visual impact of your installation. This is specially true with larger venues where individual screens may get “lost” in the environment.
Special considerations are: Finding a structure capable of supporting the weight of all the screens. Selecting lighter hardware (LCD screens are usually lighter than Plasmas). Calibrating the screens so they match one another.
Some flat panel units are designed specifically for multi-screen use. These units have thinner bezels (frames) and some include additional features that make them more suitable for this type of installation.
On the PC side, you will need either a multi-head video card, a PC configured for multiple video cards or some type of video distribution hardware such as video over Cat5 systems.
Once you have selected your hardware, it’s time to look at the software. Navori supports Multi-screen signage applications right out of the box. Navori lets you stretch content across all screens or use our Mosaic (zoning) feature to play back individual content in each screen. You can even design your own Mosaic layouts and save them as templates for later use.
Navori software offers a great platform for multi-screen deployments. The user interface is easy to learn and content can be updated at any time without affecting the media that is currently playing.
