Narrowcasting player

Narrowcasting player systems usually consist of some sort of media distribution networks and a series of media players connected to one or more flat panel screens. Some systems transfer data using a streaming method and others send the data to each player where it is stored until required.

The Navori digital signage software platform uses a “forward and store” system to push content from Navori Server to the Navori Players. On a private LAN the system will use a file share and on the Internet, a FTP server handles file transfer duties. Since the Navori Players initiate communication on their own, there is no need for private IP addresses at each Player. This makes for an efficient and secure data transfer system.
